TERRY Matterson will make changes for Castleford's 'must-win' clash with Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop.
Craig Huby definitely returns after a two-match absence, Awen Guttenbeil will be assessed later this week and Brendan Hlad and Adam Fletcher could earn recalls in the wake of last Friday's 12-try hammering by St Helens.
Quins were this week reel
ing after having five players banned following a stormy clash with Catalans in southern France at the weekend.
Subject to appeal, Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Rikki Sheriffe, David Howell, Michael Worrincy and Tony Clubb will all sit out the round 22 clash.
But Tigers boss Matterson - painfully aware of the outcome when Cas played a heavily-depleted Rhinos at Headingley late last month - is not focusing too much on Sunday's opposition.
"This game is definitely more about us and how we bounce back after what happened at Saints," he said.
"We know Chad Randall and Scott Hill will play for Quins, around that it's more important what we do because if we go out and show the same intensity, purpose and effort as at Saints, it doesn't matter who's playing for them - we won't be in the ball game.
"Our previous three games had been good efforts - we could quite easily have won all three - but Friday wasn't good enough and we need a reaction.
"On Monday we were in at 7am - and if I'd watched the game straight after they'd probably have been in Saturday morning.
"Training was a bit of an old school touch-up but we've put the game behind us now and we've got to move forward. Sunday is an important game and we need to win."
Prop Huby has recovered from a shoulder problem and plays, as could Guttenbeil, despite not being 100 per cent fit.
Said Matterson: "Those two guys are important to the team. Huby's had a good year for us and he's got some punch about him - something we lacked at the weekend. And Guttenbeil is our forward leader - he's probably a 50-50 chance.
"But this is an important 'must-win' game and if people are 90 per cent plus, they'll play.
"The players need to do themselves justice, it's a tough gig and Quins are playing all right. We know from previous games that we'll have to earn everything we get."
The long-running saga involving Mitchell Sargent is no nearer a conclusion. The club is still awaiting clearance for the 28-year-old, who agreed terms with Cas more than a month ago.
Two tries in the final two minutes denied Cas an engage Super League victory over Quins at the Jungle in March and Matterson's men led 14-0 at the interval in a Challenge Cup tie at the Stoop in April before leaking 44 unanswered second-half points.
Meanwhile, the club is refusing to comment on reports that Luke Dorn is set for a return to his former club Quins. "We're still formulating our squad for 2009 but there's nothing to report at this stage," a spokesman said.
Dorn is one of a number of players whose current deals expire at the end of the season. Stuart Donlan, Michael Wainwright, Mark Leafa, Andy Henderson, Ned Catic and Peter Lupton all have contracts till the end of 2008 .
