CASTLEFORD Panthers' promotion hopes took another knock with Saturday's 16-13 defeat at lowly Shaw Cross in National Conference League Division One.
Panthers were 13-2 ahead with 14 minutes left, but they slipped up badly in the closing stages against relegation-threatened opponents.
The Castleford side's try scorers were Chris Hall and Matty Embleton.
Jamie Benn (pictured) kicked three goals including a drop goal.
