CASTLEFORD Panthers got their National Conference League Division One promotion bid back on track by condemning leaders Wath Brow to their first home defeat this season.
Panthers made the long trek to Cumbria with a young side that also had plenty of experience. The blend paid dividends as the visitors pulled off a 20-14 memorable win.
The Panthers try scorers were Chris Hepworth, James Clarkson, Matty Embleton and Jamie Benn who also kicked two goals.
Castleford Lock Lane's revival in Division Two was cut short by a 28-12 home defeat against Crosfields.
Mike Tomlinson and Andy Matthews were Lane's try scorers. Chris Stockton and Wayne Hardy each kicked one goal.
Kippax maintained their perfect record in Pennine League Division One with a 50-0 victory at bottom side Dodworth.
In the same division, Ackworth Jaguars recovered from 30-12 down at half-time to beat Emley Moor 42-30.
In the Yorkshire League, Olde Church Tavern lost 18-10 at Hunslet Old Boys in the Premier Division.
Division One title rivals Cutsyke and Rockware Stolzle both won.
Rockware achieved a 22-4 success at Birstall Victoria and Cutsyke trounced Dewsbury Moor 54-16.
