FEATHERSTONE Rovers achieved a seven-try victory over Halifax in their first pre-season match under new coach Daryl Powell.
Winger Waine Pryce grabbed two tries and high-profile signing Iestyn Harris landed six goals as Rovers won 40-24.
It gave them revenge for a 64-44 home defeat against Halifax in their final league game last season.
James Houston, debutant Ian Hardman, Sean Hesketh, Stuart Dickens and Matty Handforth were Featherstone's other try scorers in an impressive show.
Rovers coach Daryl Powell (pictured) said: "I was happy with the way it went.I thought we controlled field position quite well."
Rovers led 20-10 at half-time and never looked in any danger of losing after Pryce increased their lead with his first try seven minutes into the second-half.
Halifax scored five tries including one from debutant Bob Beswick, the former Widnes player.
