LEE Beachill, who had been preparing to go to Egypt for the Sky Petrosport Squash Open, fell heavily in a practice match against Adrian Grant and having broken a bone and suffered ankle ligament damage, will be out of action for at least five weeks.
But his injury will not prevent him from attending two squash and music nights, in Falmouth and Redcar, where he will fulfil his musical obligations at least as guitarist with the band Lost for Words, which is led by former Simply Red member Sylvan R
ichardson.
Vanessa Atkinson, the former world number one, will replace Beachill on court in Cornwall, with Indian number one Saurav Ghosal doing likewise at Redcar.

Ghosal, free from his university studies and fresh from winning the Chennai Open, continued his good form by reaching the quarter-finals of the Malaysian Open from a qualifying draw.
Closely-contested
He beat Pakistan's Adil Maqbool 3-0 and Scott Arnold (Australia) 3-1 to qualify, then put out Mexican number one Eric Galvez 3-0 to set up a quarter-final clash with top seed Wael el Hindi.

Ghosal lost out in a closely-contested match 3-1, with the highly-ranked Egyptian taking the fourth game 11-9.
He is now playing in the qualifying competition of the Sky Petrosport Open and has every chance of qualifying again.
Pontefract Squash Club has close links with professional rugby league and they will be strengthened when youngsters attending Featherstone Rovers' Summer School visit the club between August 11 and 22 for squash coaching.

The club has also organised summer squash camps, running August 4-8 and August 25-29 (9am-4pm), aimed at youngsters aged seven to 15 of all standards.
They will be staffed by Kirsty McPhee and Sam Wileman, the club's England Squash area coaches. For more details telephone Kirsty on 07827-343377.
