METHLEY are one of only three teams in the CYL's Premier Division still to taste defeat.
Methley maintained their unbeaten start with a five-wicket home win over Liversedge on Saturday.
Veteran spinner Mick Waite claimed 5-51 from 18 overs and Vic Craven snared 3-39 from 11 to put the skids under Liversedge, whose 189-9 total centred around a defiant 66 from Zuigarnain Hiaider.
Methley openers Craven (47) and John Proud (19) shared a 67-run stand before three wickets fell without addition. Eugene Burzler and Ryan Bradshaw steadied the ship. Bradshaw, who top-scored with 60, and Steve Bourne (34 not out) put on 72 for the fifth wicket to seal a four-point success.
Premier Division placings: Wrenthorpe 18, Townville 13, Northowram 12, Birstall 12, Methley 12, Wakefield Thornes 9, Batley 8, Liversedge 6, Mirfield PC 6, New Farnley 4, Ossett 2, Scholes 1.
