PHANTOMS Kickboxing Club, based at Castleford Academy School, held their last black belt grading of the year when five students were put through their paces in a three-hour testing.

They were examined on their technical ability, fighting ability and level of fitness. All five were pushed to their limits and had to dig deep to complete the grading with all passing with flying colours.

Brother and sister Declan and Darcey Wright both passed their first dan black belts.

Niamh and Mitchell Revis-Pass, also brother and sister, both passed their second dan black belts while Ben Child passed his third dan black belt.

Chief Instructor Craig Stokes, fifth dan black belt, is currently taking on new starters.
