Castleford Tigers made a winning start to the new Super League season with a 36-18 success against Bradford Bulls at the Provident Stadium.
Five second half tries clinched an opening day victory after the Tigers had trailed to a fourth minute Danny Addy try and were only level at 6-6 at half-time.
Weller Hauraki did not score the first Cas points until the 34th minute with a try, but they went on take control after the break as Kirk Dixon, Daryl Clark, Justin Carney, Luke Dorn and Grant Millington all crossed the line.
Dixon kicked six goals from seven attempts and in the process passed his 1,000th career point.
But the Tigers, who thumped the same opposition on the same ground 66-10 in a pre-season friendly just 14 days earlier were made to work much harder on this occasion as head coach Daryl Powell had predicted.
The Bulls led three times and were still in front 25 minutes from the end before the big Castleford finish.
Cas included seven of their close-season signings with Liam Finn and Marc Sneyd at half-back, Luke Dorn at full-back, Michael Channing at centre, Andy Lynch at prop and Frankie Mariano and Scott Wheeldon on the bench,
