Castleford Tigers chairman Jack Fulton has urged supporters to “get behind us.”
Mr Fulton (pictured) has reassured fans it is business as usual for the Tigers both on and off the field following the shock resignation of the club’s chief executive Steve Ferres earlier this week.
He said: “The club is disappointed to lose Steve but it is important to reassure fans that those people who worked hard to support him in the delivery of this fantastic new membership scheme are still here and firmly focussed on the job in hand.
“The show must go on and we are working towards the home game against Catalans on Sunday like any other day.
“It is clear that now, more than ever, we need the fans to stick with us and join us in supporting the team on Sunday. On the field, it has been an extremely tough start to the season yet the side have shown great passion in their opening games as well as delivered a truly remarkable win against Leeds Rhinos.
“We all ultimately want to put on and see a great game of rugby league and I hope that fans can get behind us as we push forward in what is a time of transition.”
