Ferres leaves Tigers to join Huddersfield

UTILITY player Brett Ferres has left Castleford Tigers to join Huddersfield Giants with immediate effect.

Ferres said: "I'd like to thank the club and the fans. I have really enjoyed my three and a half years with the club and I wish the Tigers well for the future.

"The fans in particular have been great, winning or losing, they have always been there and I really appreciate that support.

"I hope to see them continuing to support Cas in the future."

Ferres has been linked with a move to Huddersfield for some time.

A Tigers spokesman said: "A move has been facilitated which suits all parties and we wish Brett all the very best in his future endeavours."
