Thankfully The Yorkshire Post’s cricket correspondent, Chris Waters, also negotiated a way out from behind his laptop to take up his position behind the microphone.

During the chat, Gillespie touches upon what made the team has has helped build deliver the club’s first silverware in 12 years as well as looking towards the future and what his players can go on to achieve.

• The show was recorded before news of Andrew Gale being charged with using racist and abusive language against Lancashire’s Ashwell Prince during the County Championship match at Old Trafford earlier this month.
