IT has been a momentous week for former Featherstone Rovers star Zak Hardaker.

The 20-year-old Leeds Rhinos utility back was named The Super League young player of the year at the Man Of Steel awards dinner and has earned a call-up to the England squad for the forthcoming autumn international series against Wales and France.

There has been little time to celebrate for the youngster who started out at as a junior at Featherstone Lions as he is preparing for one of the biggest games in his career so far with Leeds set to take on Warrington Wolves in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Hardaker has enjoyed a rapid rise since breaking into the Rhinos team, initially at centre and more recently at full-back where he will start on Saturday.
