Rovers snap up Lidbury

FEATHERSTONE Rovers have signed highly-rated front row or back row forward Daniel Lidbury.

Lidbury was on the Castleford Tigers scholarship in 2011 and on the Huddersfield Giants scholarship this year.

The former Castleford Lock Lane amateur player will join the the Rovers under 19s squad.

Rovers coach Daryl Powell - pictured welcoming Lidbury to Big Fellas Stadium - said: “We are delighted to sign Daniel.

“He is already a big strong athletic player and is a fantastic prospect for the future.

“I look forward to seeing him develop within our systems and progressg through the grades to become a first team player of the future.

“He has a great work ethic which will make this a strong possibility.”
