Flanagan’s Masons are on the brink of ending the domination of the Five Towns Quiz League Division One championship by Wanderers and Top House.

In the last seven years, Wanderers have lifted the title five times and Top House have won it twice.

Flanagan’s beat Top House 74-72 to stay level on points at the top with Wanderers.

If Flanagan’s beat Wanderers in next Monday’s penultimate league match, it would leave them needing to defeat Olde Taverners in their final fixture to be crowned champions. Wanderers face Top House in their final game.

Division Two champions Featherstone Phoenix maintained their unbeaten league record with a 83-38 win against Little ‘Un.
