Healdfield missed out on adding the James Sly Trophy to the Hardy Cup they won recently when they lost 4-2 to Pollington in the final.
Both teams were evenly matched, but Healdfield initially looked on course for their trophy double as James Dyson put them in front.
Brian Robertson levelled to make it 1-1 at half-time, but five minutes into the second period Johnny Clayton restored Healdfield’s lead.
End to end football followed until Brian Robertson again netted for Pollington to square the game.
Mark Baggaley then put Pollington ahead and Robertson completed his hat-trick to seal their victory.
Man of the match was Healdfield’s Robert Gordon.
Referee was Richard Douglas, his assistants were John Sutton and Dave Brayshaw and fourth referee Garry Lewis. The Selby League would like to thank Kellingley Social for the use of their excellently-maintained pitch and facilities and also for their hospitality in the clubhouse after the game.
