LEEDS United’s Pontefract born player Paul Green took time out from training to launch the Prince of Wales Hospice’s annual Santa Dash fun run.
The Republic of Ireland international midfielder was at the launch of an event that takes place in his home town on Sunday, December 9 (11am).
The fun run will see hundreds of people dressed as Santa taking part in a 2.5 mile run round the middle of Pontefract in aid of the town’s Prince of Wales Hospice.
Green said: “The Santa Dash is a great family-friendly fun event which helps to raise much-needed cash for the hospice while also getting everyone talking about the great work they do there. I’m looking forward to it.”
For details on how to sign up for the Santa Dash, visit www.pwh.org.uk/events or collect a booking form from the hospice or one of its fundraising shops.
