LEEDS United's Pontefract-born defender Ben Parker continued his comeback from injury in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Newcastle United on Tuesday.
Parker, who first returned to action shortly before Christmas as an over-age player in a youth friendly, is slowly working his way back from a two-year injury nightmare that has seen numerous operations.
He was joined by several first teamers in a Leeds side that won 2-0 with goals from Mikael Forssell and South African trialist Matty Pattison.
Another trialist, Craig Jones from Welsh Premier League side TNS, played along with Maik Taylor, Paul Connolly, Lloyd Sam, Alex Bruce and recent signing Robbie Rogers, who is still waiting for international clearance before making his first team debut.
Leeds are playing behind-closed-doors games regularly this season after the club withdrew from the reserve league at the end of last term. Celtic are among the forthcoming visitors to the United training ground as the games continue over the coming weeks.
