Pontefract Collieries have been busy adding to their squad ahead of the new season in the Premier Division of the NCE League.
Promising young winger Kane Reece has joined after earning rave reviews for his displays in the last two seasons for Shaw Lane Aquaforce, Worsbrough Bridge and Ossett Albion.
New joint manager Russ Eagle, meanwhile, has used his knowledge of Handsworth Parramore to bring defender Connor Chappell to Ponte after he was a regular in their Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior League team last season.
A third signing is former Chesterfield academy player Marc Lumb.
Colls continued their pre-season build-up with a 5-3 defeat against North Gawber Colliery last Friday when Kai Hancock scored in the first half and Luke Forgione and Liam Radford netted after the break.
They were in action again on Monday night away to Horbury Town as goals from Luke Danville and Aaron Moxam in the second half clinched a 2-1 win.
Ponte next face big spending Shaw Lane Aquaforce at home tonight (Thursday), with the game kicking off at 7.45pm.
On Saturday they host NCE Division One side Dronfield Town (3pm) and on Tuesday Colls are away to Evo-Stik League side Goole AFC (7.45pm) before the season proper in the Premier Division begins with a home game against Armthorpe Welfare on Saturday, August 8 (3pm).
