NCE Division One side Pontefract Collieries have arranged a number of pre-season friendlies as part of the first team’s preparations for the new season.

The managers are focusing on improving fitness levels and hitting the ground running for their title push in 2013-14 and the friendlies are seen as a key part of that plan.

Colls play their first game next Tuesday when they are away to Wombwell Main (7.30pm).

They then play Sunday side Ladybalk away on July 16 (7.30pm) and Boroughbridge FC away on July 20 (3pm).

Ponte’s first home game is against Ossett Town on Tuesday, July 23 (7.30pm) and they then entertain Welsh Premier League founder members Gap Connahs Quay FC in a prestigious friendly on Friday, July 26 (7.30pm).

Saturday, July 27 brings an away game at Kinsley Boys (3pm) before Colls host North Gawber FC on Wednesday, July 31 (7.30pm).

The final pre-season fixture arranged is for Saturday August 3 at home to Liversedge (3pm).

Colls, who will play in a 22-team NCE Division One again, have been drawn at home to Shirebrook Town in the preliminary round of the NCE League Cup.
