Glasshoughton Welfare bring the curtain down on a tough season this Saturday, but showed they are ending the campaign with some pride after achieving a fine away victory last weekend.

Welfare are heading back into Division One of the Toolstation NCE League following relegation, but they enjoyed a victory last Saturday when coming out on top 2-0 at Bridlington Town.

Two goals in two minutes round the hour mark proved enough to give them a rare away success with Declan Walker and Thomas Scott on target.

Despite the win they will finish bottom of the Premier and are now regrouping for next season.

Welfare play their last game of this campaign this Saturday when they aim to be party poopers against a Shaw Lane Aquaforce team that will be celebrating winning the championship.

The side managed by former Glasshoughton boss Craig Elliott clinched the title with a 3-1 success against Cleethorpes Town on Tuesday and are now four points clear with just one match to go.
