Glasshoughton Welfare have continued their preparations for the new season in Division One of the Toolstation NCE League with two more warm-up games in the last week.
After winning their first pre-season game 6-0 against Sherburn White Rose, it was a more difficult evening for Welfare when they lost 4-0 at home to Ossett Albion, from the higher Evo-Stik League in midweek.
Adam Muller and Rob Bordman put Albion two up in the first half and two goals in two minutes midway through the second period enabled the visitors to complete a 4-0 success.
Glasshoughton were also on the wrong end of a 4-2 scoreline when they travelled to play Askern last Saturday.
Luke Norbury scored as they trailed 2-1 at half-time then he netted again a minute into the second period, but two late goals gave Askern their victory.
Welfare are next in action next Tuesday, away to Houghton Main (6.45pm).
