Castleford CC had another disappointing weekend with the first team rained off again and the seconds suffering a defeat.
For the second successive week there was no Yorkshire ECB Premier League action for Cas as their scheduled game at Driffield was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
They will be hoping to get back in the swing of things away to Yorkshire Academy this Saturday, start 12pm.
Castleford seconds did manage to play their Division Three North game in the York Senior League, but were heavily beaten by Thorp Arch & Boston Spa.
A poor batting display led to the defeat as Cas went in first and were all out for only 72. It could have been even worse had Nigel Ling not hit an unbeaten 46.
Thorp Arch had no problems reaching the small target, getting home for the loss of only one wicket.
Castleford under 15s brought some cheer to the club as they beat Normanton St Johns by 57 runs in the Pontefract Junior League.
After electing to bat first, Cas made 128-3 with Luke Edwards retiring on 50, Oran White hitting 25 not out and David Tomlinson 16.
Normanton were then kept to 71-8 with William Day getting a hat-trick and Connor Walton also claiming three wickets.
