TOWNVILLE, Methley and Streethouse were all handed home ties in the first round of next season’s Heavy Woollen Cricket Cup when the draw was made last night (Tuesday).

Pontefract League champions Streethouse play Barnsley, Townville host Kirkheaton and Methley take on Morley on Sunday, April 22.

The full first round draw is:

Barkisland v Hanging Heaton, Wakefield St Michael’s v Wrenthorpe, Mirfield PC v Spen Victoria, New Farnley v Birstall, Ossett v Shelley, Shepley v Gomersal, Townville v Kirkheaton, Skelmanthorpe v Jer Lane, Slaithwaite v Liversedge, Methley v Morley, Clayton West v Woodlands, Baildon v Golcar, Wakefield Thornes v Delph and Dobcross, Yeadon v Kirkburton, Scholes (Huddersfield League) v Buttershaw St Paul’s, Streethouse v Barnsley.

The ties are reversed in the first round of the Crowther Cup for second teams, with Streethouse A visiting Barnsley A, Methley A travelling to Morley A and Townville A playing Kirkheaton A.

Townville first team visit Sheffield United in the ECB National Club Championship on Sunday, April 29.
