LEEDS United have confirmed their pre-season fixture schedule, which will take in a trip to Cornwall, a game in Norway and several more matches in England.

The Whites have previously announced their trips when they will play Tavistock, Bodmin Town and Torquay United in the south west and Sandefjord, in Norway, but have now added more games in their preparations for the new season.

Neil Warnock’s men begin with a game against local opposition on Friday, July 20 when they play Farsley AFC (7.45pm), who are managed by former Leeds defender Neil Parsley and his assistant, Mark Jackson, who also played for United and was part of their Youth Cup winning team.

The Farsley game takes place just two days before the squad travel south to play Tavistock (Monday, July 23, 7pm), Bodmin Town (Wednesday, July 25, 7pm) and Torquay United (Friday, July 27, 7pm).

On returning from the south west, United head to Norway for a game against Sandefjord on Wednesday, August 1 before returning to the UK for a trip to face League One side Preston North End the following Saturday (3pm).

A first ever trip to Burton Albion is next up with United heading to the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday, August 7.

Leeds are expecting to announce one further fixture as they look for opponents to take on at Elland Road on Friday, August 10.

The season proper kicks off the following midweek with the first round of the Carling Cup. The new league campaign begins on Saturday, August 18.
