Mathers signs three-year Castleford contract

CASTLEFORD Tigers have signed Warrington Wolves full-back Richie Mathers on a three-year contract.

The 26-year-old former Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos player will join the Tigers next season.

The Pontefract and Castleford Express recently revealed that Castleford were in talks with Mathers who is out of contract at Warrington at the end of this season.

Tigers coach Terry Matterson said: "Richie lives in Yorkshire and has been playing good footy at Warrington so he will make a good addition."
