FAIRBURN are up to third in Pontefract League Division Six - thanks to a match-winning performance against Thorpe Audlin from Gareth Weaver.
The teenage all-rounder was stranded on 47 not out as Fairburn were skittled out for just 121, with Luke Hindmarsh (3-13 from ten overs, including six maidens) and Eric Rawlings (3-35 from 11) doing the damage.
The home side's bowlers showed their class to send Thorpe back for a paltry 94.
Darren Weaver, Graham Bancroft and Alan Greenfield - 2-12 from a 14-over shift that contained eight maidens - all got in on the act but Gareth Weaver was the chief destroyer.
The 18-year-old, a keen bass guitarist, found his rhythm to snare 4-19 from 13 overs, four of which were maidens, to cap a memorable display.
Ferrybridge 'C' beat Hemsworth to record their third win of the campaign.
Veteran all-rounder Keith Lumb claimed 4-34 from 11 overs to help remove the visitors for 114, then top-scored with 29 not out from number eight to cement a three-wicket win.
Paul Snowdon (3-26), Reg Thompson (2-34) and John Storey (1-15 from seven) also impressed with the ball while Nick Dinsdale made 24 at a stage Hemsworth looked to be getting on top.
Hundhill Hall went down by 80 runs at Division Five rivals Barnby Dun.
An unbeaten 89 from Lewis McMahon was the backbone of the home side's 186-6 and the total proved well beyond the visitors, who mustered just 106 in reply.
Luke Earnshaw top-scored with 32.
Gary Green was the pick of Hall's attack, claiming 3-45 from nine overs while Nev Malyan took 2-67 and Ian Horbury claimed 1-12 from a miserly ten-over stint, half of which were maidens.
Ferrybridge 'C' remain in the Division Four drop-zone after a 28-run defeat at Sandal.
A 3-31 return from Andy Adams could not prevent Sandal posting a competitive 175-4 from their 46 overs.
Ten-man Ferry made a fight of it up the order, with openers Graham Preece (26) and Simon Grace (18) in the runs and Richard Lumb making 46 from number four. But the tail offered little resistance as Ronnie Craik (4-41) and David Dransfield (4-32) took charge.
Upper Haugh displaced Thorpe Audlin for top slot in Division Four after winning a low-scoring top-of-the-table clash.
Superb spells from Dominic White (4-10 from seven overs), Matthew Ramsden (4-27 from nine) and Ben Sutton (2-29 from 11.3) reduced Upper Haugh to 121.
But the visitors' attack also found conditions to their liking. Thorpe lost three quick wickets before Ramsden (38) and Gareth Webber (22) steadied the ship but Tom Hanks was the only other batsmen to reach double figures in a defeat that saw the home side slip from first to fourth.
Brett Lovell, Chris Stacey and Chris Pearson all picked up three cheap wickets to dismiss Thorpe for 96.
Featherstone's yo-yo campaign continued with defeat in a low-scoring game at home to mid-table Sprotbrough.
Put into bat after losing the toss, Gordon Turner's men struggled on a drying wicket and were heavily indebted to young Ryan Armitage, who made an unbeaten 40 of his side's 99 total.
The visitors were made to work hard for victory, however, with Joe Bakali (2-8 from four overs) the pick of the bowlers. Stuart Galey also snapped up a brace and Tom Wragg, Todd Davis and Mick Davis bowled cheap spells as Sprotbrough took 40 overs to overhaul the target.
Paul Lund inspired only Hensall's third ten-point success over the season.
Lund claimed 6-24 from a 14-over stint that contained five maidens and both Paul Calvert (2-13 from 14, seven of which were maidens) and John Calvert (2-20) were also in the wickets to dismiss bottom club Barnsley for just 72 - 44 runs shy of success.
Opener Rob Reeson 25 in the hosts' 115 total, with Paul Calvert (17), Shaun Calvert (19) and Liam Waterworth (22 from number eight) also making vital contributions.
