FEATHERSTONE coach Daryl Powell hopes Papua New Guinea signings Jessie Joe Parker and Larsen Marabe will join Rovers before Christmas.
Rovers are close to finalising clearance for the two PNG internationals who are being tipped to make a big impact at the Chris Moyles Stadium next season.
Powell (pictured) said: "Things are looking pretty good. There are three key processes you have to go through and we are now into the final one of getting the visas from Papua New Guinea.
"We are well down the track and we are hoping they will be over here and training with us before Christmas."
Most of the Rovers squad are back training and Powell believes the early signs are "very encouraging."
"I am really pleased with the shape of the players - they have come back pretty good in terms of strength and fitness levels. We had a tough session on Monday," said Powell.
"Obviously it's early days but I think generally you can tell almost straight away whether you've got a really good group of people.
"The initial signs are really encouraging on the way the group behave and what they are prepared to go through to make themselves as good as they can be.
"I think we have a deeper squad than we had last year and we've got probably 26 or 27 players who can potentially play first-team so I am going to give everyone an opportunity to show what they've got.
"We have four pre-season games and everyone will get the chance to show what they are capable of."
Rovers are offering a multi entrance ticket for their pre-season friendlies against Doncaster, Blackpool, Leigh and Hull Kingston Rovers. The advance entrance ticket costs 35 for adults, 20 for OAPs and students and 8 for children. It is available online at www.fevshop.com.

Supporters are urged to take advantage of the offer before Friday, December 18, to guarantee tickets before the Christmas holidays.
