Newly crowned EBU featherweight champ Josh Warrington and former IBO bantamweight champ Noel Wilders have become regular visitors to Airedale Police Amateur Boxing Club.

Together with Josh’s father Sean they are helping head coach Mark Whitham guide Castleford’s boxing prospects towards future success in the sport.

The club is currently enjoying a surge in membership, which is in part due to Josh’s recent knockout performance at the Leeds Arena when he beat Davide Dieli.

As a result the club has opened up additional boxing and fitness training classes for both sexes of all abilities – from the fighting fit to the entirely unfit.

Airedale Boxing Club is now seeking support from local businesses, particularly those who can help advance their aim to promote health and reduce antisocial behaviour in the Airedale and wider district.

Further information can be found on their Facebook page (Airedale-Amateur-Boxing-Club) or by telephoning Mark on 07502 243207.
