PONTEFRACT Cue Club’s Riley Fisher and Bradley Burrows won Castleford and District Snooker League’s doubles handicap final.
They beat Rockware’s Keith Towler and Viv Arnold in a match that was decided by the total score over three frames .
It went down to the last black, with Fisher and Burrows winning by just one point.
The final, at Pontefract Bowling Club, was refereed by Ian Walker.
Eleven-year-old Riley Fisher is the youngest player to play in the final. His twin brother Bailey is in the handicap singles final next week.
It is a great achievement for the Fisher twins to play in the league’s team, doubles and singles finals at such a young age.
Their father Peter Fisher, a world snooker coach, coaches them and other youngsters at Pontefract Cue Club.
On the league scene, Pontefract Cue Club E beat Methley Ex Service A 8-2 in a Section A top of the table clash.
It put Cue Club E 12 points clear of Methley who have slipped from second to fourth place but have a match in hand on the leaders.
Smawthorne D climbed to second with an 8-2 win at Pontefract Bowling A.
Green Bowling A retained top spot in Section B with an 8-2 victory over Pontefract Cue Club B.
Kippax Central A moved to the top of Section C with an 8-2 success at Knottingley Conservatives A. Pontefract Cue Club D’s 6-4 defeat at Rockware A cost them top spot.
