Fryston Angling Club members had to contend with wet conditions in Sunday’s match at Moorfields Farm Fishery, Goole.
The previous Friday’s match had a winning weight of over 120lbs but Saturday’s overnight rain was always going to made things a little harder.
By the end of the first hour it was apparent that bites were not only becoming harder to come by but in some pegs were non existent.
By the end of the five hour match, nine of the 19 strong turn out had nothing to put on the scales.
Ray Evans won with a paltry 34lb 12oz from peg nine.
Roy Copley clinched second place with 18lb 8oz from peg four. Gareth Gill put 13lb 12oz on the scales for third place from peg seven.
The day’s section winners where Paul Moran and Dave Banks with 13lb 5oz and 13lb respectively.
The silver peg winner was E Hirst on peg 30.
The golden peg was again not won and rolls over to next week.
Meanwhile, Steph Armitage won Saturday’s open match at Pollington’s Viking Fishery.
Seventeen anglers competed on Deer pond in unseasonably cold weather.
Armitage won with 40lb 8oz on pellet across to the island.
Tommy Davis (22lb 5oz) was second and Harry Lockwood (21lb 15oz) third.

Sunday began with torrential rain, but the anglers made the best of it at Viking Fishery.
The South Leeds Conservative Club AC match on Fox pond was won with 60lb by G Williamson.
A Longbottom was second with 26lb 12oz and D Horton third with 23lb 14oz.
Peggy Tub AC were on Deer pond where Paul Brown won the match with 58lb 5oz on pellets in the shallows.
Dave Thompson was second with 32lb and Mick Wood third with 25lb.
Dave Coote won the Merlin AC match on Hawk pond with 74lb 8oz on luncheon meat.
J Craven was second with 64lb and S Burdekin third with 45lb.
