Pontefract’s Squash Club’s Yorkshire League Premier side lost 3-2 to Hallamshire in a top of the table clash.

Taminder Gata-Aura and Jack Cooper gave Pontefract a 2-0 lead, but none of the other three matches were ever in doubt as Hallamshire hit back to win.

They are both preparing for the next major World Tour championship, the Hong Kong Cathay Pacific Open, the longest standing and most popular professional event, the finals of which are played in the spectacular Hong Kong harbour.

Willstrop made his 100th internationlal appearance for England in the World Team Championships in France earlier this year when he won the deciding match to give England the team title.

England Squash marked his milestone by presenting him with a framed picture of that achievement.
