Fryston Angling Club members made their third trip of the season to Moorefields Farm Fisheries at Goole on Sunday.

This time they fished the 54 peg large match lake.

The previous day’s match needed a net of just short of 200lbs to win so hopes were high that Fryston’s match would see some good nets.

As usual the corner pegs came into play producing the first and second places.

Top net on the day went to Gareth Gill fishing corner peg one.

His 106lb 2oz earned him first place.

New member Lance Sidney took another corner peg from the draw bag and got to work from peg 54, fishing the method feeder and “down the edge.”

He netted 79lb 4oz of quality carp for second place.

Paul Moran made the best of an average draw and put 67lb 15oz on the scales for third place.

Section winners where S Birch and B Copley with 67lb 15oz and 49lb 7oz respectively.

P Mountain won the silver peg draw.
