Jane wins trophy for clocking up 7,844 miles on her bicycle this year

THIRTY members and friends attended Elmsall Road Cycling Club’s prize presentation and pea and pice supper at the Upton Arms.

Jane Wilson won the mileage trophy with 7,844 miles this year. Runner up was Alan Crooks with 7,400 .

Pete Owen received the newly introduced Service Cup for all the hard work he puts in behind the scenes.

The Coronation Shield went to Steve Scott for winning the handicap event at Pollington.

Team record winners for 10 miles were Karl Caton, John Martin and Steve Scott.

Caton, Scott and Peter Stirk set a new 25 miles record.

A special award went to Caton for breaking the club’s 10 and 25 miles individual records.

He became the first club member to average over 30 mph in a 10 mile time trial.

The award for most punctures went to Stuart Burrows.

Club weekend rides meet at the Barnsley Oak crossroads at South Elmsall.

The riders leave at 9am.
