Dave Lumb was the winner when Fryston Angling Club members visited Pool Bridge Farm, near York, on Sunday.

His travelling partner Steve Birch was second with 37lb 4oz.

Steve Varley put 34lb 4oz on the scales for third place.

Section winners were M Tattershall and L Roberts with 12lb 13oz and 33lb 3oz respectively.

Jason Bak won the silver peg but yet again the golden peg was not won and continues to roll over.

Colin Smith won Saturday’s regular open match on Hawk Pond at Pollington’s Viking Fishery.

The fish were more interested in spawning than feeding but Smith managed to land 42lb 1oz on chopped worm.

Dean Wild was second with 39lb 10oz, and Richard Scott third with 31lb 8oz.

On Sunday the Adrian Social Club AC’s match on Hawk pond was won by G Upton with 66lb 6oz. P Milliner was second with 64lb 14oz and S Allison third with 42lb 8oz.

Another Hawk pond match, for Upton Village AC, was won by Jimmy Law with 41lb 14oz.

Glen Hawksworth was second with 29lb 12oz and Luke Picken third with 27lb 10oz.

On Fox pond, the Harehills Labour Club AC match was won by R Rodgers with 45lb 2oz.

A Mack was second with 34lb 14oz and M Baxendale third with 28lb 2oz.
