Pontefract Squash Club’s James Willstrop and Saurav Ghosal are both through to the World Championship quarterfinals in Manchester.

Former world number one Willstrop, the number three seed, takes on Egyptian Mohamed Elshorbagy, seeded six, in tomorrow ‘s (Friday) match which starts at 7pm.

Willstrop has yet to drop a game in the tournament.

He beat Spain’s Borga Golan (number nine seed) 11-4, 11-8, 11-6 in the third round.

Unseeded Ghosal staged a great fightback in the third round to beat Finland’s Henrik Mustonen, who is also unseeded.

Indian player Ghosal won 5-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-4, 11-2.

He now faces number one seed Ramy Ashour (Egypt) in the quarterfinals this evening (9pm start).
