Pontefract sailor Rachel Grayson and her crew George Stainforth were in great form when they were crowned the Neilpryde Mirror Scottish National champions.
The competition was held over two days at Annandale Sailing Club and saw the cream of northern sailors take on the Scots.
The first day saw lighter winds, which shifted due to the shape of the land and caused all four races to have four different winners.
However, Rachel Grayson and George Stainforth were the most consistent, posting a first and three seconds to lead at the end of day one.
Rachel’s sister, Emma Grayson, with crew Ben Settle, were a close second.
Day two saw heavier winds with large squawls whistling across the waters. But Rachel and George maintained their calm to post two ‘bullets’ (wins) to cement a fantastic victory and be crowned Neilpryde Mirror Scottish National champions.
