Snooker star takes on league’s best players

Former world snooker championship finalist Nigel Bond attended Castleford and District Snooker League’s annual presentation night at Pontefract Cue Club.

Bond played 12 frames, winning 10, against the best players in the league.

Michael Tomlinson won the scratch doubles competition and had the highest break in the league with 84.

Joe Roberts was the league’s scratch singles champion.

Tomlinson and Roberts will both travel to Rotterdam this Wednesday (July 17) to compete in the second round of the Professional Players Tour Championship.

The event also features Neil Robertson , Mark Selby and Jimmy White.
