LOCK Lane ARLFC celebrate their 75th anniversary this Saturday .

The club played its first game - a 32-0 victory against Kirk Sandall - in September, 1938.

To celebrate the milestone the Castleford outfit are hosting a day of rugby across various age groups.

The event commences with junior matches which will be followed at noon by a dads versus lads game in which parents of junior players take on a combined under 14/15/16s team.

At 1pm there will be an under 12s match between Lock Lane and St Helens team Blackbrook.

The main event is the National Conference League Premier Division match between Lock Lane and East Hull which kicks off at 2.30pm.

At 4.15pm, a combined Lock Lane and Yorkshire Masters veterans team play Garry Schofield’s GB Allstars side.

There will be various other attractions including inflatables and a barbecue.

All former players, coaches and old rivals are invited to the day’s event.

Lock Lane’s 13th annual junior gala is also being staged this weekend.

The under 11s and 12s will play on Saturday and the under eights nines and tens on Sunday.
