Castleford Tigers star Craig Huby is supporting Brut for Men’s search to find Super League’s Fan of Pride.

Brut and Huby are asking Castleford fans to ‘Man Up’ and nominate their local heroes to go forward into a national Fan of Pride competition which offers prizes including going behind the scenes with a Super League team, Brut product and season tickets.

Super League sponsors Brut are on the hunt to find the ultimate rugby league fan who has served their community in the Brut Fan of Pride campaign.

The campaign is running across all 14 Super League teams with each crowning their own Fan of Pride. Nominations close at midnight on Sunday and the Castleford Tigers winner – chosen by public vote – will go forward to represent their club in the national competition.

Brut are aiming to celebrate the Super League fan and each club’s community, highlighting the importance of the fans, the fantastic atmosphere that they create and the role they have in their local area. A shortlist of Tigers entrants will be chosen by a panel of judges, including Cas forward Huby.

Currently in his testimonial year, the popular prop forward was chosen by his club to be the Castleford Tigers Fan of Pride player ambassador because of the work he has done in the community over the years as part of the club and Tigers Trust – the club’s charitable foundation.

Anyone can be nominated into the competition, with entries closing at midnight on June 9 and shortlists being announced for each club on Father’s Day (June 16).

So whether it is a local coach or dad/mum who takes training come rain or shine, the club janitor, or the oldest, most loyal supporter who attends every home game, Brut wants to hear about the great contributions the fans make.

Brut for Men’s Eoin Mullen said: “As a proud partner of the Super League Brut recognises the tight-knit nature of the communities and the loyal fans that support the 14 clubs. Through Fan of Pride we will celebrate these fans – those who not only support their team, but give back in their local area.

“The Brut Fan of Pride winners will receive a fantastic range of prizes including Super League season tickets, a money-can’t-buy-experience to go behind the scenes with a club of their choice, an invitation to the end of season Super League Man of Steel Awards and, of course, a range of fantastic Brut product.”

Nominations can be made online at www.brutformen.co.uk/superleague

The overall national Brut Fan of Pride 2013 will be announced and awarded in September, with the overall winner receiving two season tickets to their Super League club and a money can’t buy opportunity to go behind the scenes at their team.
