Castleford Tigers are unhappy at the decision to bring forward the kick-off time for next Saturday’s Super League match against Catalan Dragons in Perpignan.

The match, which will be new Cas coach Daryl Powell’s first in charge, has been moved from 6pm to 3pm after the Rugby League accepted a request from French television.

Castleford say they objected to the late change because of the disruption caused to fans who put their travel arrangements in place weeks ago.

In a statement the Castleford club said: “The Tigers would like to make fans aware that the decision has been made by the RFL despite our objection to the change as we believe that the late notice is unfair to our travelling fans.”
