Outgoing Castleford Tigers half-back Jamie Ellis has been officially unveiled as a Huddersfield Giants player for 2015.
The move has been widely expected with the Tigers already confirming the player would be leaving the Mend-A-Hose Jungle and the 24-year-old has signed on a two-year contract.
He said: “I know I’m joining a big club and I’m facing a big challenge, but that’s what makes this move so exciting.
“Leaving Castleford was tough, particularly after such a fantastic season, but I know coming here was the right decision to make.
“Although I’m fully aware it’s not going to be easy making a starting spot my own, that’s my aim.
“I’m 24 now and believe this is the time I should be playing week in, week out.
“I’m ready to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
“Brett Ferres was a team-mate of mine at Cas, and I’ve seen how good the move to Huddersfield has been for him.
“I see no reason at all why it can’t be the same for me.”
