CASTLEFORD coach Terry Matterson (pictured) could not hide his delight after the Tigers landed a home tie against Huddersfield Giants in the Carnegie Challenge Cup quarterfinal draw.

The Tigers, who beat Wakefield in extra time Saturday’s fifth-round tie, are one of only four teams to have defeated Huddersfield so far this season.

The Tigers beat Huddersfield 18-12 at Probiz Coliseum in February.

“We’re really pleased we’re at home,” said Matterson.

“We’ve had great tussles with Huddersfield. The last time we met in the Challenge Cup they beat us in the last five minutes.

“We’re looking forward to it but we know we will have to be at our best.”

The full quarterfinal draw is Warrington v Wigan, Castleford v Huddersfield, Hull v Leeds, St Helens v Hull KR. Ties to be played on the weekend of July 23-24.
