CASTLEFORD Tigers’ pre-season training has taken on hairy proportions in recent weeks following the decision of several players to grow moustaches to raise awareness for a men’s health charity.
Jake Emmitt, Ben Johnson, Nathan Massey, Lee Gilmour, Jamie Ellis, Oliver Holmes, Steve Nash and Grant Millington (pictured) joined the Movember trend which increases in popularity each year and have donned a stylish range of mo’s throughout November.
Struggling for growth, youngster Johnson has been given a helping hand by his team-mates while Lee Gilmour has gone for the bleached blonde look.
Emmitt and Gilmour’s mo’s were on full display as two of the player models for the launch of the Tigers’ new home shirt on Sunday.
The funds that Movember raise in the UK are invested in programmes related to both prostate and testicular cancer. The three areas of investment are awareness and education, survivorship and research. For more information or to donate, visit the Movember website: http://uk.movember.com/
