Danny Orr looks set to stay in charge for Castleford Tigers’ Super League game away to Salford city Reds on Saturday.

The temporary head coach picked up the reins after the departure of Ian Millward and has overseen one win and one defeat so far. He is now expected to be given a third game with the club still putting together a shortlist of candidates to take up the head coach role.

“As far as I know I will still be in charge for Saturday’s game,” said Orr.

“I’ve not been told anything else so I am just continuing to do what I’ve been doing until told otherwise.

“I’m quite enjoying it as head coach and hopefully the lads are enjoying it as well, what we’re trying to achieve.

“I know it’s a temporary thing and I’m just trying to do the best I can while I’m in the role.”
