CASTLEFORD Tigers back Jordan Thompson has followed Kirk Dixon and captain Danny Orr in committing his future to the club.
The 19-year-old academy international, who can play anywhere in the backs, has agreed a new two-year deal with the Tigers.
Thompson had been a key figure in the Castleford side this season before being sidelined with a leg injury.
“I’m really happy to have signed a new deal. I’ve been at the club since I was 15 and have been really happy here. I didn’t see a reason to leave,” said Thompson.
“I was given my first chance to play first team two years ago and I’ve been getting more game time each year since.
“I’ve played 10 games this year and there’s still another nine or ten left this season. Hopefully I’ll be back to fitness soon and ready to get back into the team for most of those games.
“The club has shown they are big on bringing players through, they gave me my chance and I’m really happy that I’ve been given another two years here.”
