Castleford Tigers coach Daryl Powell has been fined for criticising referee Ben Thaler.
Powell accused Grand Final referee Thaler of losing his cool after the Tigers suffered a 33-26 home defeat against Wigan Warriors last month.
Powell has been fined £500 and warned as to his future conduct after being found guilty of improper conduct.
A statement from the Rugby Football League said: “Powell was found to have breached RFL operational rule D1.1 (engages in conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game or which is improper) and operational rule C2.11 criticism of a match official.”
Half the fine is suspended until the end of the 2017 season and Powell has 14 days in which to submit an appeal.
