CASTLEFORD Tigers continued their superb start to the RL Nines tournament by winning all their three matches at Featherstone’s Bigfellas Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Tigers boast a 100 per cent record after also winning all three games in the opening round at Hull KR and all three in the second round at Bradford. They have qualified for the finals at Headingley Carnegie on July 5.
On Tuesday, they defeated Hull Kingston Rovers 22-6, Leeds Rhinos 14-8 and Featherstone Rovers 26-22.
Castleford’s squad was Greg Eden, James Clare, John Davies, Josh Nathaniel, Adam Milner, Ryan Brierley, Ben Johnston, Billy Harris, Charlie Martin, Chris Siddons, Ollie Holmes, Ben Reynolds and Brad Knowles.
Featherstone gave another excellent account of themselves against Super League opponents, despite losing all their three matches.
They narrowly lost to Castleford, were beaten 14-8 by Leeds and were pipped 18-16 by Hull KR.
Liam Welham and Tom Carr were both in outstanding form for Featherstone.

The Tigers will take on Halifax, Hull KR and local rivals Wakefield Wildcats.
