CASTLEFORD Tigers have agreed dual registration with Batley Bulldogs for promising young prop forward Daniel Fleming over the 2013 season.

The 20-year-old highly rated academy product has made great progress over the past 12 months, impressing the Tigers strength and conditioning staff with his work rate.

The prop’s efforts have also been recognised by the Welsh national side who selected him for the squad and the youngster will have a chance of featuring in the team that faces France in the Alitalia Cup this weekend.

Steve Gill, Tigers’ head of youth development, said: “At this stage in Daniel’s development, it is without doubt the best move for all parties.

“Daniel trained at Batley last season and made a big impression with the coach John Kear. He will be a great addition to their side and for us, playing in the Championship will serve to improve him as a player and offer invaluable match-day experience.

“We hope to see him impressing in a Tigers shirt in the forthcoming season.”
