Holders Fryston Warriors host Ossett Trinity Tigers in the Bartletts BARLA Yorkshire Cup second-round tomorrow (Saturday).

Fryston became the first Castleford and Featherstone ARL open-age side to lift the county cup for 17 years when they beat North Hull Knights 50-10 in last season’s final at Hunslet’s South Leeds Stadium.

Brotherton Bulldogs host Boothtown Terriers, Cutsyke Raiders visit Brownies Bulldogs and Sharlston Rovers are home to Reckitts in the second-round this weekend.

The other ties are Queens v Illingworth, Ovenden v Moorends Thorne Marauders, Myton Warriors v Siddal and Lindley Swifts v East Hull.

Meanwhile, Methley Royals’ fixtures up to the turn of the year in the Pennine League’s inaugural 11-a-side league have been confirmed.

The Royals start the competition this Saturday by visiting Upton A and they host Bradford Victoria Rangers A the following week.

Methley’s other scheduled fixtures until Christmas are against Lock Lane away on October 29, Thornhill Trojans A home on November 5, Cowling Harlequins home on November 12, Lock Lane home on November 19, Bradford Victoria Rangers away on December 3, Brighouse Rangers home on December 10 and Thornhill Trojans away on December 17.

The Royals continue to seek more players.
