Featherstone Rovers have completed the signing of Jamie Cording from Super League club Huddersfield Giants on a two-year contract.
Featherstone-born Cording has made 18 appearances for the Super League Leader’s Shield winners in 2013 and is a key signing for Rovers as they look to continue to build for 2014 and beyond.
Hard working back-row forward Cording signed for Huddersfield Giants in 2010 having previously spent time at Castleford Tigers and Gateshead Thunder in Championship One and made his Super League debut in 2011. In total, Cording has made 27 appearances for the Giants scoring eight tries.
On signing for his hometown club, Cording said: “I’m really excited about joining Featherstone Rovers. I am a Featherstone lad and there is a good feeling of optimism about our future in the town.
“Rovers are an ambitious club moving in the right direction and I want to be a part of what is happening. I’m sure with a lot of hard work the club will continue to grow and move forward.”
